The bust assembly is very easy and each part (hat, kerchief, and feather) is very realistic. Painting this bust was a great experience for me and was amazing to paint. I really like to paint this bust especially when it was made by the hand of one of the best figure artist’s ever.
I highly recommend this bust.

Name: Viking Warrior
Manufacturer: Young Miniatures
Scale: 90mm
Material: White Metal
Parts: 13 and Base
Rating: 5 out of 5
Reviewer: Guy Herrick
Review:
When I received the kit today I was impressed by the quality of the box, box art design and overall presentation of a 90mm kit. The feeling continued upon opening the box and pulling the sponge pack divider back to reveal the mail parts of the figure. Not only did you have the box art to guide you in colors, you also were provided a small card with a color guide printed on the back. The Front was a graphic drawing of a Viking ( also used on Young's Christmas Card ).

The kit comprised of 14 white metal parts to make the complete kit.

The main torso comprised of 5 separate pieces. Lower legs, torso / chest,

cape and left arm, head and right arm assembled together to form the main body. The helmet was also separate with locator lugs and corresponding holes to locate the nose guard, after the face was painted, right over the nose. The chest part fits up and under the cape eliminating any seam.

The remaining parts were the shield, which was a thinner shield than many of us are used to. I like the thinner shield Young provided and also a handle and strap that attaches to the shield. There is also a knife and sword and scabbard as separate pieces along with a waist pouch too.

The Head is very well defined, eyes along with facial muscles make this head a joy to paint. The hair is finally detailed as to make the painting easier to look real.. The mold line goes up the side and over the top and down the other side, not interfering with any facial detail.

Sculpted by Young B. Song

Tomas was kind enough to send me this figure and after seeing it be a nominee for the 2005 Lilliput Award, I decided now was the time to do a kit review and share with the planet what a beauty of a kit this figure really is.

Cast in white resin with the main part of the body being cast in two halves. The shoes are clearly marked on the mold plug as to right and left and attach with no problem. The arms are cast separately and have mold lugs to insure correct positioning. The rifle and right hand are cast separately with the left hand being cast with the left arm. All equipment is cast separately and is clean and crisp in detail.

Overall I find this to be a beautifully sculpted figure worthy of being nominated for the Lilliput Award for 2005.

Name: Asi-Yaholo: Osceola Seminole War Chief
Manufacturer: The Lost Battalion Miniatures
Scale: 120mm
Material: Resin
Parts: 11 and Base
Rating: 5 out of 5
Reviewer: Guy Herrick
Review:
I received this figure today from Lost Battalion and after opening was very pleased with the contents. I found 11 parts including a very detailed base with an excellent sculpted log that the figure has one foot standing on. The upper torso with head attached was crisp in detail with excellent eye detail including hair-detailed eyebrows. I found a very well sculpted Bandoleer sash with checkered design already sculpted into the sash. The surface of the shirt has cloth like texture, very well sculpted with minimal seam lines to scrape away with an x-acto knife. The head turban is sculpted with locator holes for attaching the 3 Ostrich feathers included

The lower torso has one attached leg and one separate leg, slight seam line on the shirt with no seam lines on the leg. The underneath part of the shirt ( most manufactures / sculptors just block off the bottom and we painters would just paint it black) has cleanly sculpted loincloth, flesh area of the legs and a design sculpted at the bottom of the loincloth.

The feathers are attached to a sprue and will easily cut off with a knife.

The rifle and 2 hands are cast together with good detail and minimal seam lines to the rifle. The hands are sculpted with fingernails and knuckles which will look great when painted.

The waist sash ends are cast as a separate piece and dry fitted to the waist with no problem

Both arms come separate with slight seam lines easily removed. The arms dry fit and would not require any filler. The left leg is also separate and attaches to the lower torso without needing any filler.

A pouch is cast separate that attaches to the Bandoleer belt and attaches without needing filler and has beautiful bead work design sculpted into the surface.

Overall I find this kit to be of excellent quality with very little prior clean-up being needed (no more than a half hour with an x-acto knife) and would recommend this kit to any person desiring a Seminole Indian being added to their collection.
